Dying to Be a Good Mother

Heather Chauvin, author of Dying to Be a Good Mother, spent some time with us recently to talk about the importance of making yourself a priority. It is a hard thing to do for many moms, but for her, it became a matter of life an death when she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

In our interview, we talk about the ways her parenting has changed as well as her relationship with her husband. We also talk about the importance of community and friendship while stressing the need for receiving from others (a hard thing for many moms to do).

Listen closely for three important skills; advocacy, modeling, and establishing boundaries that we can all learn and grow from if we practice them in our daily lives.

You can access the workbook that accompanies the book here. And if you want to consider starting or joining a book club, please let us know.
